Lobby of Alice Tully Hall Broadway at 65th Street FREE
One at a time, in the lobby of Alice Tully Hall, visitors enter a long, dark corridor of sound, stepping uncertainly toward an unsettling encounter. This immersive, responsive sound-and-light installation by Australian artist Lynette Wallworth, inspired by a visit to the Preah Khan temple at Kompong Svay in Cambodia, is a unique experience for every visitor.
Commissioned by Adelaide Film Festival Investment Fund (2009); produced by Forma. This project has been assisted by the Australian Government through the Australia Council, its arts funding and advisory body. Single-channel interactive video by Lynette Wallworth in collaboration with Chris Watson, sound, and Pete Brundle, video processing and system design.
